  • 3 ounces of baked turkey breasts – 23% DV – 34 micrograms
  • 2 fish sticks – 23% DV – 35 micrograms

You got many selections of food for you and your kids’ iodine supply. Anyway, you will need at least 150 micrograms of iodine per day. As for your kid, 100 to 130 micrograms can be enough for him.

On another note, if you do not eat anything of those foodstuffs, I have a suggestion for you. You can consume iodine supplements or multivitamins. They are sufficient to supply you with the iodine you need.

Though, you might need to train your kid to eat at least a few of those foods mentioned above. Supplement dependency is a hassle your kid must no experience.

That list is not only for you to calculate how much iodine you need, but it is also a guide you can use to prevent too much consumption of iodine. To be honest, consuming too much of that stuff is very irritating pal. Once you exceed a thousand micrograms of iodine, expect that you will curse heaven and hell.
